• Surf trip 1971/72 •
Mike Stachow, Rusty Robbins and myself piled into Rick Lamarque’s Opel Kadett, complete with a “Praise the Lord” bumper sticker. We drove from Pensacola to Jacksonville, and had temporary mechanical problems in Tallahassee. This photo was taken at “Access 5”, now called “The Poles”.
Rick, who took the photo, was planning to become a pastor. Sadly, he died in a car wreck in 1974.
