Rob Fink at Ft. Pickens point, 1977ish!
The mid 70’s were exciting years to be a surfer in Pensacola. There was a ton of passion for the sport. We had the Point and the Bay, which were fantastic waves to surf. We had photographers like Dave Skelton and Tony Caruso taking great photos and putting our coast on the map. Hank Warner was visiting Pensacola with new shapes and incredible stories. YS III and Bzr Turner were absolutely ripping. Mark Foo was living here. Brian Waters and Mike Bredesen were making great boards. Everyone was traveling and new spots were being discovered. What fun!
