This is Rick Settlemire in October 1974. He’s on the street behind the old Rodeway Inn – next to the First Baptist Church, downtown. For a few years everybody was skating there. Weekend nights would be packed.
Rick was an Islander Surfboard guy, and a super talented airbrush artist. He sprayed lots of Islander’s. Rick was a super stylish surfer, mostly riding swallowtail eggs that Brian Waters shaped.
