1976 was a big year for Pensacola surfing: Our waves, and surfers, were featured in a Surfer Magazine article. There was no better surf media than Surfer Mag at that time. Dirk Wood is the guy in the top right. Bottom left is Yancy Spencer 3. The two guys surfing together are Mike Bredesen (front) and Ted Cobia, (back). The photo of Mike and Ted was a two page color spread, which was HUGE for a couple of gulf coasters. Every Pensacola surfer was so stoked to see this article!
