This is Ray Smith, the same surfer that was featured last week. Dave Skelton took these photos in November, 1973. The bottom image was at the 12th Ave Parking Lot (now gone). Look closely at the dunes on the beach – it looks like there was severe erosion in the dunes, and no tall buildings(!). The top image may also be at 12th Ave. The middle building in the background was the Galatea Inn, which is roughly where the Pensacola Beach Resort (Margaritaville Hotel) is now.
