Bored because there are no waves? No problem, just destroy a surfboard instead.
Early 1975 while in Puerto Rico, Steve Davis saw his all time favorite Hank Warner board drift onto a reef and get battered by waves. It dinged and buckled. I don’t remember clearly, but Steve decided we should just ride the board down a local hill. So we did.
Pictured is Dave Skelton. Steve remembers Dave falling backwards and getting his own dings – ugly gashes on his back as he fell backwards off the board.
