Pensacola to Mexico transplant, Ted Black.
Years ago, I used to park my ’66 Bug at Ft. Pickens Point while surfing without locking the doors. I didn’t have much worth stealing, so I would put whatever I had under the drivers seat and go surf.
One day I climbed in my car after a surf and realized my watch was missing. I was bummed, but had no idea what happened. A few days later Ted came up to me and handed me my watch. It turns out that a friend of his, a guy I kind of knew, had slipped into my car and taken the watch. Ted was kind enough to get it from him and return it to me. That happened 50 years ago. I have respected him ever since.
