In September, 1977 the Bay @ Ft. Pickens had excellent waves, on a fairly regular basis – pretty unusual for the gulf coast. This was right around the time they were filming Jaws II, and built a movie set lighthouse on the point. This was also 2 years before Hurricane Frederic ransacked our sandbars. At this time, JB Falbo was one of the hottest young surfers on Pensacola Bch.
