This is a guy who had quite an impact on Pensacola surf culture. He introduced Yancy Spencer III to surfing back in 1965. He partnered with Yancy and bought the Greg Noll Surf Shop in Gulf Breeze in 1970 – which eventually became Innerlight. If you had a ding repaired over the course of 30ish years, there’s a good chance he was the guy who fixed it. He taught lots of people how to surf. He had his own surfboard model. Unless you were around in the 1970’s, you would know him as a longboarder. You would also know him as “Rooster”.
