“One of the greatest snowstorms in Southeastern United States history occurred February 9-11, 1973.” – from the National Weather Service website.
I found this photo of a Challenger Surfboard in the snow as I was looking through a box of John Hollingshead’s old photos. It was dated February, 1973. Challenger was a very popular board in Pensacola at the time.
So, I’m pretty sure this was Pensacola.
