Ted Scarritt – ‘75 or ‘76 in the First Baptist Church parking lot. We called it the Rodeway Inn because of the motel next door, on the corner of Palafox and Cervantes. Back then skating was mostly pretend surfing, along with some gymnastic stuff, like Ted is doing here. Ted was also very good at doing 360’s. He could spin non stop for quite a while.
I took the photo, and actually got it published in Skateboarder Magazine. I think I made $35. 😁
