For being such an unknown area for surf, Pensacola Beach had its fair share of talented surfers in the 1970’s – still does. Though we didn’t have the greatest waves, I think pure passion made up for it. Pensacola wasn’t the only area on the panhandle with good surfers. Ft. Walton Beach had a talented surf culture of it’s own. Theses two guys were part of it: Steve Horner and Terry Kerr. This photo was taken 52 years ago on their home turf.
