Good morning surfers! We are starting to see some Easterly movement in the Gulf at Pensacola Beach. The waves are shin high right now at best, but there is lots of energy in the Gulf so you never know what could happen. The tide will be high at 1:10 this afternoon and low at 8:45 pm tonight. The wind is predicted to get heavier throughout the day out of the North Northeast which would suppress local waves.
Our forecast shows rideable waves this weekend despite medium to strong local Northerly winds. We have some interesting weather with two hurricanes in our general area of the world. Then there’s the front which has been pushed into the Gulf by a strong high pressure system over the Southeast. These features will make wave forecasting shaky in our area, but I will try to watch and Report as the conditions change. Have a great day!
