Good afternoon!  The surf is…kind of up.  NOT what I thought it would be by this afternoon.  Those winds just didn’t get on the waves like I thought it would. Grr.  Winds are still 7-8 out of the SW causing for a chop on the Gulf. The surf is shin to knee high. Sometimes, and I mean sometimes, I saw A bigger set come through but it looked like super short rides.  Winds are supposed to go offshore sometime this evening, so, we could be bidding adieu to our little surf.

***Wounded Warriors Event!! TOMORROW NAVARRE BEACH***
PSA per their event coordinator:
The Florida Surfing Association is riding waves and changing lives more
than ever this year. On June 2nd, 2012 at 0900 on Navarre Beach, we will be kicking off an event for our Hometown Wounded Warriors to raise awareness and provide a unique program to allow our veterans to get out into the ocean, catch a few waves with proper instruction, and feel the healing nature of the
sea. This is a morale event, so there is NO FEE associated with this event. We only ask for your support by cheering for our folks and sharing the shoreline with those that have protected our freedom. For any questions or if you’d like to donate to this cause, please contact CJ Stein at surfncj@gmail.com.

Thank you to our sponsors: Wounded Warrior Project, Florida Surfing Association, Fluid Surf Shop, Under Armour, TRX, Chick Sticks by Lola, Hurlburt Field’s ALS class, Community Coffee, Publix, Santa Rosa Young Professionals. the supportive community that resides in Navarre and it’s surrounding areas. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
