Good morning surfers! The Surf is up at Pensacola Beach right now in the chest to shoulder high range. Some sets on the outside may be bigger than that, but the 20 mph East Southeast wind is strong creating current and plenty of chop. I hope the wind backs down some late this afternoon, but the forecast says it will be strong all weekend ahead of a cold front. The tide will be low at 9:20 this morning and high at midnight tonight. Be careful if you go surfing as the waves are going to build and the conditions will be challenging. There is a contest in Navarre today and you can sign up out there right now. First heats go in at 8:00 am. See you in the lineup!
