There is some surf in the forecast for this coming weekend. This is due to our proximity to Hurricane Irma as she approaches Florida in the models. Her pressure gradient will cause wind and waves on the Gulf of Mexico. Only time will tell if our local surf forecast will become reality. The models for Irma’s track have shifted to the West so that South Florida seems to be in real danger of a major hurricane landfall around next Sunday.
